Join us for an interactive Spanish language gallery tour of the exhibition From Now: A Collection in Context.


From Now: A Collection in Context presents a rich tapestry of Black artistic production, highlighting more than two hundred years of artistic achievements by artists of African descent. This exhibition explores the evolving artistic canon through the diverse interests, practices, and voices of artists of African descent. 


This tour is led by educator Rosed Serrano and explores the work of artists investigating ideas of mutual support, memory, and community. After the tour, visitors are welcome to continue the conversation over food and refreshments.


This tour is free of charge and requires advanced reservation.  English translation will not be provided.


All tours will begin at the Stoop on the Lower Level and depart roughly ten minutes after the program starts.

Accessibility

  • Accessibility  interactivity level: Medium
  • Program length: This program runs from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. The first hour covers two to three artworks by artists of African descent. The remaining thirty minutes of the program provide visitors with an opportunity to socialize with light food and refreshments.
  • Accommodations: Folding stools, assistive listening devices, and tactile elements will be provided.
