Join us for a gallery conversation exploring artworks in the exhibition, Geometries. This program invites blind and low vision community members to explore artworks in the Studio Museum’s current exhibitions through verbal description and sensory exploration.  A Studio Museum Educator leads visitors in insightful discussions and art making through elements such as touch, sound, and smell.  

Geometries centers the ancient mathematical study as a point of artistic inquiry, exploring how artists have used lines, shapes, and the spaces between to convey emotion, express identity, or work through formal concerns.

This tour is free of charge and requires advanced reservation.   

Verbal Description Tours will begin in the Lobby, and depart for the galleries 10 minutes after the program starts.

• Interactivity level: High 
• Program length: This program runs from 5pm-7pm. The tour will cover approximately 3 artworks in the Geometries exhibition in the 3rd floor gallery. This tour is woven with moments where visitors will creatively respond through drawing or collaging in the gallery.
• Accommodations: Folding stools, accessible art materials, assistive listening devices, tactile reproductions, and sighted guides will be provided.
