Book Tickets

Lil’ Studio is an early childhood program that engages children and their adult(s) in reading, singing, movement, and art making to build social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development.

Parents, caregivers, and organizations caring for little ones under five years old are invited to enjoy activities that encourage creative time and bonding.

Lil’ Studio is free. Pre-registration is required. Please note Lil’ Studio cannot accommodate groups with more than five children. Early childhood centers should contact [email protected] to arrange a separate visit.

Accessibility

  • Interactivity Level: Moderate. Visitors are welcome to engage in call and response, singing, artmaking, movement and mindfulness activities, but participation is completely voluntary.
  • Program Length: This program runs from 10-11:00am
  • Accommodations: Assistive listening devices, sighted guides, verbal description, a quiet space, ear defenders, fidgets, and adaptive art materials are available.
  • Format: We begin by singing our welcome song and learning two new vocabulary words. We then look at an artwork that is connected to these two words. Next, we make art that is inspired by our vocabulary words and the themes and materials of the artwork. Afterwards we share our artwork with the group and gather to read a story. The book we read will also be related to our vocabulary words and the art we saw and made. We conclude by singing our goodbye song. There are songs, movement and mindfulness activities throughout, especially during transitions.
