This thirty-minute family-friendly tour sparks conversation about artworks on view through dynamic gallery activities, hands-on materials and fun challenges that inspire families to explore art in exciting ways. Every tour begins at the Stoop at 1:00pm and then educators lead families to the galleries.

Accessibility

  • Interactivity Level: Moderate. Visitors are welcome to engage in call and response, singing, artmaking, movement and mindfulness activities, but participation is completely voluntary.
  • Program Length: This program runs from 1-2:00pm. Participants are welcome to drop in at any time or stay for the entire program.
  • Accommodations: Assistive listening devices, folding stools, sighted guides, verbal description, a quiet space, ear defenders, fidgets, and adaptive art materials are available.
  • Format: We begin with a welcome song and then we look at 2-3 works of art with songs and movement activities throughout. Visitors also have time to make art in the galleries. We conclude with a goodbye song.
