Arts & Minds at the Studio Museum in Harlem invites people with dementia and their care partners to explore artworks by artists of African descent.

Join us for an interactive gallery conversation and artmaking workshop exploring artwork in Geometries, an exhibition that centers the ancient mathematical study as a point of artistic inquiry, exploring how artists have used lines, shapes, and the spaces between to convey emotion, express identity, or work through formal concerns.

This program is free of charge and requires advanced registration.   

Arts & Minds programs will begin in the Lobby and move to the galleries 10 minutes after the program starts.

• Program length: This program runs from 2pm-3:30pm. The tour will cover one artwork in the Geometries exhibition. The remainder of the program will focus on hands-on art making in the Education Workshop.
• Accommodations: Folding stools, manual wheelchairs, assistive listening devices, tactile elements and accessible materials will be provided.
