Studio Sunday weekly programs

Join us each Sunday for focused, twenty-minute explorations of one or two works of art in our galleries with a Museum Educator. Gallery Talks are designed for all ages, and pre-registration is not required.

Every Sunday, bring the whole family for a special Museum Educator–led tour of the galleries. In this thirty-minute, family-friendly experience, you’ll dive into the artworks on view through lively gallery activities, hands-on materials, and fun challenges that inspire families to explore art in exciting ways.

Drop in for a weekly art-making workshop and get creative with inspiration from our exhibitions. Open to visitors of all ages, these family-friendly sessions turn an afternoon into hands-on fun, with a variety of materials and activities that bring exhibition themes to life.

Bring the whole family to a thirty-minute Storytime celebrating books by children’s authors and illustrators of African descent! Each session connects stories to the exhibitions on view or the Museum’s permanent collection. Special editions feature guest readers, hands-on activities, and fun extras in partnership with the NYPL Harlem Library—including free book giveaways, library card sign-ups, and more.
