No, it is not necessary that you have experience in order to participate in this program.
How much time will I spend in the program?
Program dates: January 7–July 31, 2020
Meets every Tuesday (4–6:30 pm) and Saturday (10 am–3 pm)
In July: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (10 am–3 pm)
All public school holidays and breaks are observed by the program.
Where will the program take place?
The Studio Museum in Harlem administrative offices at 310 Lenox St., Floor 3, New York, NY 10027. Program participants also take excursions to sites throughout NYC.
Do I get paid for participating in Expanding the Walls?
Yes! While this is not a job, participants receive a stipend for their participation at the completion of the program. Please note, you will need to present valid working papers upon acceptance to the program. Individuals must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible to work in the United States without a visa to receive the stipend.
