Meet new friends, make art, and explore creative ideas

Welcome to the Studio Museum’s Teen Studio—a free, monthly, drop-in art-making program designed for teens ages fourteen to eighteen. Participants build community, learn collaboratively, and create together through projects centered on art and artists of African descent. Teens connect with contemporary artists, experiment with a variety of materials, and produce works inspired by themes and pieces from the Museum’s exhibitions and permanent collection.

This month at Teen Studio, participants will create artworks inspired by the Studio Museum’s Tom Lloyd exhibition, focusing on principles such as color, shape, and pattern.

No prior art experience is required. Subway fare, snacks, and supplies are provided. For more information, contact [email protected].

This program is free and requires advance reservation.
