Come to Lil’ Studio and imagine a world of your own using vibrant patterned papers!
We’ll begin by exploring Untitled III by Ebony G. Patterson and observing her use of character, setting, and materials. Next, we’ll use textured papers and magazine cutouts to make our own captivating collages. Together, we’ll discover how to tell stories through art by crafting unique characters and settings. We’ll conclude by singing songs and reading My Rainy Day Rocket Ship by Markette Shepherd.
Join us for a joyful session of art, music, reading and play! Parents, caregivers, and organizations servicing little ones under five years old are invited to the NYPL Harlem Library to enjoy art making and other activities that encourage creative time and bonding.
Lil' Studio is designed to explore innovative ways to work in the community while taking the Museum beyond its own walls. Lil' Studio is free. Click here for accessibility information at NYPL Harlem Library. For more information, or for accommodation, email [email protected].
