Drop-In Artmaking: Dazzling Harlem Collages

Get creative and show your love for the neighborhood by crafting a dazzling Harlem collage. Mix iconic images of Harlem with shimmering gold paint to design a one-of-a-kind work of art that highlights what you appreciate most about this vibrant community.
Visitors of all ages are invited to a weekly drop-in artmaking workshop to create art inspired by exhibitions on view. Family-friendly projects welcome visitors for a fun afternoon of connecting with exhibition themes through a hands-on experience with a range of art materials.
Accessibility
- Interactivity Level: Low. Visitors are welcome to engage in artmaking any time during a three-hour window, but participation is completely voluntary.
- Program Length: This program runs from 2-5:00pm. Participants are welcome to drop in at any time
- Accommodations: Assistive listening devices, sighted guides, verbal description, a quiet space, ear defenders, fidgets, and adaptive art materials are available.
- Format: Visitors are welcome to join any time during a three-hour window. When they arrive educators are available to describe the artmaking project and its inspiration.
