Accessibility

The Studio Museum in Harlem is committed to making its exhibitions, programs, and services accessible to all who visit. The Museum’s lobby, main gallery, gift shop, restrooms, atrium, and sculpture court are wheelchair accessible, and the theatre, additional galleries and education and project spaces can be reached with the use of an elevator.

Uniformed security guards, stationed at the entrance and throughout the Museum can help direct visitors to appropriate facilities and resources.

The Museum provides learning opportunities for visitors of all ages. Experienced educators work with both children and adults at all developmental and cognitive levels.

Guided tours are available for all exhibitions to ensure that individuals with a range of abilities can experience the Museum. Tours tailored to visitors with physical or developmental challenges can also be arranged. For public programs, accommodation can be made for visitors in wheelchairs or with limited mobility.
